I've just started watching the series 24, I have to say it is totally mind-blowing!!! The creativity behind the storyline is incredible and I begin to wonder if it is just that (a fictitious storyline)...
I mean the paralells to reality in the US... 2001. Sept. 11th... Barack Obama... And so much more is incredible. Is it a prediction of the future? Or perhaps even a revalation about the past?
I think it is an observation of the natural progression of a society becoming more Liberally based. It's a nature progression of a country, in many ways, and you see it many other countries who got there before us because of our still youthful age and inexperience.
So, I wouldn't call it a prediction, but I will agree the writers are very insightful.

One off my close friends told me about this by phone, but as much as i understand it is more of a thing which has accumulated information. It is neither fully the past or the future, it is mixed.

A prediction of what? Terrorist attacks and an African American president? I can see how that may come across as a prediction but I think that a lot of the shows storylines were actually based around these terrorist attacks. Maybe not so much in the early seasons of the shows, but in the later seasons they definitely used real life events to influence the plot of the show.
