When you buy a used car often there's no warranty and therefore when something goes wrong you as the buyer are often screwed.

I think it should be mandatory for every dealer to have the option of selling you a warranty, even if it's a 3rd party warranty and for there to be some sort of audit check to see if the mileage hasn't been manipulated.

When you are buying used car how can you expect a warranty??? while buying a used car one should check all the conditions especially the break and audio system and if you are satisfied you should buy it.

Well some car dealers do offer a warranty, even for used cars.

I'm not saying it should be mandatory to sell you it, but it should be offered as it gives you some sort of protection if something goes wrong. Plus a lot of times you often overlook "small" problems that can turn out to be big after a few days of using the car.

Right now the way it works it seems that it's in favor of some of those unethical dealers who just fix up the car enough so that it drives out of it's lot without any problems but it has issues they are aware of..
