we say that objects give colors because when light falls on them there electrons jump to higher energy level and when they fall back to ground state they emit energy giving there characteristic colors..am i right?....if i m then how do radioactive elements give colors in dark also.???

I'm not sure I understand. Colors exist due to the wavelength of light.
Radioactive substances can glow in the dark, but they do so by emitting light. There's no way to create color without light.

Radioactive substances do not emit light! The radiation they emit is not visible to humans.
Glowing clock faces and so on are made by mixing radioactive material with some other substances such, often called a 'fluors' or 'scintillators' which when exposed to the ionizing radiation are excited to produce visible light.
